AllStar Renovations is the premier boutique vendor for installation of fine papers, exotic fabrics, and paint within upscale casinos, hotels, retail stores, commercial facilities 
and high-end residences throughout the United States.

In September 2013, AllStar Renovations relocated its decade-long base of operations to the Chicagoland western suburb of Plainfield, Illinois.

From our Plainfield headquarters, AllStar has expanded its service area to better serve the  requests for our specialties in the Chicagoland area.

Our Principles


AllStar Renovations' owner, co-founder and president, Gina Gillette, joined our team in 2004 as director of business development and real estate investments.

Gina is an experienced multi-family property manager,  real estate investment consultant and held a  State of Illinois real estate appraisal license in good standing for six years while possessing a State of Illinois real estate broker's license since 2004.  Ms. Gillette's current Illinois Managing Broker's license expires in April 2019.

Gina has managed millions of dollars in single family to multi-unit residential real estate investment property transactions. 

Ms. Gillette has also served as a director of project funding for a Chicago-based private equity organization, specializing in funding real estate investment and construction projects ranging from $500K to $500 million. Gina has conducted well over 4,500 property inspections and has received several O.S.H.A certifications. Consequently, Gina understands the inherent requirements that investment and development projects call for. 

Gina earned her MBA at the University of Maryland and is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Springfield, Cum Laude.

Gina is a  EPA Lead Safety-Certified Renovator.

In September 2014 Gina Gillette received the following accreditations from the Wallcovering Installers Association ( Formerly, the National Guild of Professional Paperhangers), at their annual conference:

In September 2015 Gina Gillette received the following accreditations from the Wallcovering Installers Association, at their annual conference:

AllStar Renovations' Vice-President and co-founder; Dale Tammen, began his wallcovering career in 1971, in Illinois, as an assistant to an established wallcoverings contractor. In 1981, Dale moved to southern California and worked for several large commercial wallcovering contractors. He opened his own wallcoverings company in 1984.

Over the last thirty years, Dale Tammen has earned a national reputation as a master wallcoverings craftsman for hotels and casinos, commercial and luxury residential projects. As a result, Allstar Renovations is able to bring beauty, lasting quality and innovative solutions to the most challenging projects.

Dale is a member of the Wallcovering Installers Association (WIA), the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA) is a an EPA Lead Safety-Certified Renovator.

    • This year,  Gina’s two-hour class covered the changing marketplace of the Chicagoland construction industry from the standpoint of the small woman and minority-owned firm.
    • Gina also stressed the importance of pre-planning an owner’s business response to family-oriented major life events and the potential impacts on the small firm’s sustainability.
